The Kappa Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will be hosting its 17th Annual “Bowl for Scholars” Bowl-a-thon on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Bowlerama Lanes in Killeen. Registration begins at 1:00 and bowling will start at 1:30 pm. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Ecolia A. Dunn Scholarship Fund. The Bowl-a-thon is our yearly scholarship fundraising event. Each year, the Kappa Sigma Lambda chapter seeks to provide scholarship awards to deserving high school seniors in the greater Central Texas/Fort Hood community who desire to further their education by attending college. Since its inception, we’ve presented over $70,000 in scholarship awards. Last year, due to the COVD-19 pandemic, were not able to gather for the fun and fellowship as we have done for so many years in the past. This year we are back! We are looking forward to the comrade and the friendly competition and giving away lot of prizes. Gather your family or friends form your teams, and let’s have a good time. Cost for bowling includes (3) games and shoe rental. Games are 9-Pin No Tap format. Awards for Best Team. $100.00 cash prize for Top Male and Top Female Bowler. Golden Pin awarded to the Greek team with the highest score. Note: For health and safety concerns, the facility limits the number of people per lane/table to (5).
