The Kappa Sigma Lambda Chapter was chartered in November 1974 at Killeen, TX under General President Walter Washington.
Charter members were Brothers: Robert N. Balenton, Earl Rodney Brooks, LT. Kerry M. Brown, Michael L. Buster, LT. Michael Coleman, Cpt. Stanley Evans, Charles A. Green, Robert E. Harris, James Kirkwood, LT. Walter Lane, Acie McGhee, Jr., Cecil Poole, MAJ. James Poole, Willard Robinson, Daniel Taylor, Alexander Vernon, and CPT Marlon D. Wimberly.

Kappa Sigma Lambda is in Area V of the Texas District, Southwest Region. The chapter seat is Killeen, TX, home to Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood), the U. S. Army’s largest installation. In addition to Killeen and Fort Hood, chapter members also reside in the surrounding communities of Harker Heights, Copperas Cove, Nolanville, Belton, and Temple Texas. Being located in a military community, the chapter membership is comprised of a mixture of active duty military and civilian brothers. Military deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan have significantly impacted chapter membership as far as the number of active brothers available to support the chapter’s activities; however, civilian brothers have been able to provide stability to the chapter. Hundreds of brothers have passed through this chapter since its founding while serving their tour of duty at Fort Cavazos.

TTENTION BROTHERS! Deadline for 2025 Chapter Dues was December 31, 2024. $10 Late Fee will be incurred for payments after January 1st, 2025. You may also pay your Grand Tax through the chapter. Note: Brothers aged 80 and above are exempt from Chapter Dues.
